A classically trained musician turned wedding photographer

When I was in elementary school, I picked up and immediately fell in love with the flute. I would spend HOURS every afternoon after school ended, practicing and playing, falling in love with mastering what quickly became my craft.

Fast forward 7 years, smack in the middle of high school/pre-college music programs and I have a HUGE community of musicians! I began doing head shots for friends who needed unique, creative photos for their albums and promotions. And I LOVED it. For the longest time I shot soloists - and then moved to duos, small groups - and realized I loved exploring and documenting connection, playing with their interactions.

While continuing to shoot musician portraits over the course of my time studying music in my undergrad & grad years, I worked part-time at a ring store (I’m diamond certified!). One of my first weeks there, I bonded with an engaged gal who kept coming in to look at wedding bands. We ended up becoming fast friends and I became her wedding photographer!

It was my first time entrusted to photograph a wedding and I was SO. PSYCHED. I said: “Heck yes!!” (My go-to phrase and yes expect it in your emails :)

That very first wedding was so personal, intimate and real - but her father was sick and could not attend. After delivering her gallery, he sent me an email to personally thank me, saying “I just felt like I was there.” I was hooked.

I’m a people person through and through - your guests will often mistake me as your friend, not another vendor. But truly - I love bringing joy to people’s lives whether through the flute or with my camera. Weddings quickly became an extension of my love of giving.

I’ve since photographed over 100 weddings, documenting the connections of couples around the world. When I pick up my camera, I tell the story of you. And just like a song, composed of so many notes and phrases - your love story is not a single moment or emotion but a combination of many.

Preserving tradition like classical music

The family portraits, the traditions that have been passed down through generations, everyone gathering together as one.

Classical music re-tells the age-old story as accurately as possible, but with just as much artistry and respect for the original composer.

Capturing everything and everyone that has made you two you.

PHOTOS WITH A MODERN SPARK LIKE JAZZ

Cultivating those spontaneous, unplanned moments that are all about truly living present in the moment.

Jazz is all about seeing the unseen and manifesting the atypical -- not quite the things you would see on Pinterest.

Say hello to modern, creative and bold artistic portraits that are both completely new and capturing you.
